As a senior Ruby on Rails developer, I have played a key role in modernizing and expanding the NexGen Guest platform, a digital concierge and analytics solution designed for the hospitality industry. I led initiatives to decouple core functionality from a legacy Rails 6 + MongoDB monolith, moving key features to a more scalable Rails 8/PostgreSQL architecture.
– Analytics Platform: Architected and implemented a modern analytics system delivering real-time guest feedback dashboards and automated monthly performance reports for hotel clients.
– AI-Driven Insights: Integrated AI models to analyze open-ended guest feedback,
generating natural language summaries and surfacing common themes and sentiment
trends. This enabled hotel staff to quickly identify recurring pain points and prioritize improvements.
– Review Aggregation: Built seamless integrations with TripAdvisor and Google Reviews to consolidate and normalize external reviews alongside internal feedback, offering hotels a comprehensive view of guest satisfaction.
– Infrastructure & DevOps: Manage multi-environment deployments using Elastic Beanstalk and Kamal v2, integrating AWS ECR and secure secrets. Maintained deployment reliability and performance across production and beta environments.
